# Made to measure for your opening.

> How a made to measure glass enclosure is made: cutting the aluminium, tempered glass, fitting hardware and checks before it is installed at your home or venue.

## How is a made to measure enclosure produced?

A glass enclosure is not bought off the shelf: each system is calculated from the measurements taken at the site visit, because no two openings are alike. Aluminium profiles are cut to the length of each section, the glass is cut before tempering since it cannot be worked afterwards, and the hardware is fitted and checked before delivery.

## What does made to measure actually mean?

No two openings are the same: the floor may slope, the ceiling may be off level and the walls may not be quite straight. Made to measure means the system is calculated for that specific opening, with the height and width of every section.

That is why measuring is done on site rather than from an old plan. The real measurements decide how many panels there are, how wide they are and which way they stack.

- Cutting the aluminium frames for each section
- Cutting the glass before tempering
- Coating the aluminium in the chosen colour
- Fitting rollers, seals and locks
- Checking the system before it leaves for site

## What does LUNEKS make and what does it buy in?

This table will be filled in with the details LUNEKS confirms.

| Stage | Who does it |
| --- | --- |
| System design and calculation | (to be confirmed) |
| Cutting and machining the aluminium | (to be confirmed) |
| Cutting and tempering the glass | (to be confirmed) |
| RAL coating | (to be confirmed) |
| Hardware fitting and checks | (to be confirmed) |
| On site installation | (to be confirmed) |

## What is the process?

The same four steps for every system, from the first call to installation.

1. **Tell us about your space.** By phone, WhatsApp or the form: what you want to enclose, where it is and how you plan to use it.
2. **Site visit and measuring.** A technician sees the site, takes measurements and checks the floor, ceiling and orientation. Timing: (to be confirmed).
3. **Fixed quote.** You receive the system, materials and delivery time in writing. Timing: (to be confirmed).
4. **Made to measure and installed.** The system is made to fit your opening and we install it at your home or business. Timing: (to be confirmed).

## Which systems are made to measure?

Each one is calculated for the opening measured at the site visit.

- [Glass curtains](https://luneks.es/en/glass-curtains/): Glass panels with no vertical frames that stack to one side.
- [Frameless sliding glass](https://luneks.es/en/frameless-sliding-glass/): Glass panels that slide behind one another, for wide openings.
- [Insulated glass curtains](https://luneks.es/en/insulated-glass-curtains/): Double glazing for using the terrace in winter too.
- [Retractable roofs](https://luneks.es/en/retractable-roofs/): A roof that opens and closes with the weather.
- [Fixed roofs](https://luneks.es/en/fixed-roofs/): A permanent roof in glass, polycarbonate or sandwich panel.
- [Bioclimatic pergola](https://luneks.es/en/bioclimatic-pergola/): Adjustable louvres that control sun, shade and airflow.
- [Tensioned fabric pergola](https://luneks.es/en/tensioned-fabric-pergola/): Shade from fabric on an aluminium frame, with no building work.

## Questions about manufacturing

### Do you have your own factory?

(to be confirmed)

### Why is the glass cut before tempering?

Tempered glass cannot be cut or drilled: it shatters into small pieces. So it is cut and drilled before tempering, to the final measurements.

### What is checked before installation?

Typically the measurements, how the panels slide, the locks and the condition of the seals and glass. (to be confirmed)

### What happens if a measurement does not fit on site?

(to be confirmed)

### Which brands of frames and glass do you use?

(to be confirmed)
