# Right of withdrawal.

## What the right of withdrawal is

The Spanish consolidated General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users (TRLGDCU) gives consumers the right to withdraw, without giving a reason and without penalty, from contracts concluded at a distance or off business premises. A contract is concluded at a distance when it is made by phone, email or online, and off premises when it is signed, for example, at your home during the visit.

This right belongs to consumers. It does not apply to anyone contracting for their business or professional activity.

## Time limit

You have 14 calendar days to withdraw. For service contracts the period runs from the day the contract is concluded, and for sales of goods from the day you, or a third party you name, receive the goods.

If you were not informed of this right, the period is extended by twelve months from the end of the original period.

## Exceptions: made to measure products

Among other cases, the law excludes from the right of withdrawal goods made to the consumer specifications or clearly personalised. Most enclosures, roofs and pergolas are made to fit your space, so once their manufacture has been ordered you normally cannot withdraw from that part of the contract.

Nor can you withdraw from a service that has been fully performed when performance began with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you would lose this right.

## How to exercise it

To withdraw, you must tell us of your decision before the period ends with a clear statement, for example a letter or an email. You can use the model form on this page, but it is not compulsory.

## Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw, we will refund all payments received without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days from the day you inform us of your decision. We will use the same means of payment you used, unless you agree otherwise, and the refund will not cost you anything.

For sales of goods we may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or proof that they have been sent back. (to be confirmed)
