Climate and rules
What is special about enclosing a terrace in Alicante?
In Alicante a terrace gets used almost all year, but the climate calls for the right materials and roof.
- Long hours of sun: in summer you need shade or a roof that opens.
- The easterly levante wind and sea salt on the seafront: fittings and fixings get checked.
- Buildings with an owners’ community: an enclosure usually needs their agreement.
- Alicante town hall rules on enclosures
