What is an insulated glass curtain?
Quick answer. An insulated glass curtain opens like a standard one, but each panel has two panes with an air gap between them. The gap slows down cold, heat and noise, so the terrace works as a room in winter too, or beside a busy street. Questions about insulated glass curtains
How much do insulated glass curtains cost?
It depends on the size, the double glazing build-up, the number of panels and the aluminium finish. We do not publish prices: the quote is prepared after we see and measure the terrace.
Is double glazing worth it over single glass?
It is worth it if you will use the terrace in winter or live on a noisy street. If you only use it from spring to autumn, a single glass curtain is usually enough.
Do insulated glass curtains block noise?

What problems can glass curtains have?
The usual ones are badly levelled tracks, which make the panels stiff to move, and seals that wear over the years. That is why we measure the site before quoting. LUNEKS maintenance and spare parts
Do insulated glass curtains fog up?
The air gap reduces condensation on the inner face compared with single glass, especially with heating on inside. Airing the terrace now and then still helps.
